   Checklist for performing well in Group task.

GPE:

What is the AIM of this exercise?

What are the problems faced by the Group?

What is the max time available?

What are the Resources that can be used?

How many groups are required?

What tpt is available for use?

What is the distance required to be covered?

What is the speed and other restrictions?

What additional job/s required to be done by the group?

What time will they finish the task?

Where and at what time will they report?

When and where will the sub group join the main group?

Sub Group Tasks

Remember ABCDEF

A – What is the Aim of this sub group?

B- By how many men will the task be done?

C- What is the conveyance used?

D- Distance and Time taken  to reach the location?

E- Extra Jobs , If any who does it and how?

F- Finish the job at what time?

G- Go where after the job?

H- Halt where and at what time?

I-                    Inform the main group how?

Group Tasks – Check list.

1.       What are the resources available? (Plank, Bally, Rope, Help material)?

2.       What are the methods available for crossing the obstacle?

3.       What is the restriction imposed?

4.       Who will go first?

5.       Who will go next and do what?

6.       Which method is to be used? ( Planning Stage)

a)      Bridging the Gap.

b)      Reducing the Distance ( Use of 60 – 40 technique)

c)       Looping Technique

d)      Fixing the Plank/ bally?

e)      Is any moveable item seen?

f)        Can we make use of Help material if given, and at stage?

g)       How will the last man come?

h)      Can you make use of the Rope, in what way?

i)        Who will carry the load, ear mark and inform him.

Executing Stage:

a)      Which is the best option available

b)      There will be three methods to cross, use the easy but effective and efficient method to cross.

c)       Make a mental plan and explain others / suggest alternative method.

d)      Initiate and help others to move ahead

e)      Act as a fulcrum for the group to perform the task.

                   Command Task

a)      Observe and Plan the way to execute.

b)      Brief the Sub ordinates about the Task, rules, restrictions,

c)       Explain your plan

d)      Delegate job for each person, make sure he understands

e)      Co-operate with group to execute the Task

f)        Offer corrections/ shift to alternate plan if required

g)       After the job, put the items neatly, info GTO

h)      Thank your sub-ordinates before leaving

i)        Always talk boldly and in an assertive manner.

Indl Obstacle:  Plan which job to do first? Know your limitation.

Do not go zig zag, warm and stand near the first task that you are Confident of doing and SAY Ready sir,

Indl Lecture: Select the topic that you feel you can talk. Make a mental note.

Rehearse your introduction,

Body, ( talk about what is the topic, meaning, advantage, disadvantage, / causes, effects, offer solutions)

Be systematic in your approach

Talk till the first warning,

After that take a few seconds and conclude the topic.

And end up with smile and thank you.
